Good morning,

I have received an email from the Cardiff meet host this morning to inform me that the Cardiff May LC Meet is heavily oversubscribed. They have received entries into the meet from 1110 swimmers. In order to comply with their license, they will be making a high number of scratches. The way that they do this is set out within their meet pack and this is shown below :

City of Cardiff Swimming Club reserves the right to return entries if the meet is oversubscribed. In this case, the slowest entry times in each age group will be rejected and swimmers will be scratched at the promoter’s discretion.

Cardiff have said within their email, that swimmers can withdraw from an event and receive a refund of their entry fees. If you would like to remove your swimmer from any events, I will need to know by 9am Saturday 21st April. After that time, withdrawals will be as stated in their meet pack.

The meet host has said they will be running an ALT (alternative) list during the meet. This is a list of alternative swimmers that, on the day, may get to swim their event should the lanes within the heat allow. These are NOT guaranteed swims.

Please let me know by 9am Saturday 21st April if you do want to withdraw your swimmer from any event.

I have attached a list of the complete entries for the Cardiff Meet. This is a DRAFT list only and NOT confirmed entries.
